"It's almost been 5 years since the release of "Super Nike Nando". A few months ago I recorded "SNN2" with no intention what-so-ever on releasing it until now...The original record is so special because it was my introduction and a anthem for a rebelious DMV hip-hop subculture in a area diluted by "Trap" rap. Since I've seen a lot of artist who were suppose to flourish premature too early and never to be heard from again or not have the same impact they had when they 1st debuted. Sadly I've learned from they're mistakes and worked twice as hard to remain relevant not just in my area but to become a staple and franchise for my City & State. "

 

Dom's new project "Get Home Safely" will see its release on Oct.15th. For now we get to check out a seven minute documentary shot by hip hop blogging personality; Karen Civil. Dom Kennedy takes the camera around Leimert Park and speaks on real life situations from, how he deals day to day, to meeting up with Rick Ross at his home and even the masterminding of his independent label situation.
